We have been a bit lax on the blogging front recently. Well, that is a bit of an understatement! If this was a school report, it would contain phrases such as ‘could to better’ and ‘see me’.
But we have good reasons for our blog silence! And no…the dog did not eat our internet or anything like that.
Following lambing, we have rebuilt and completed the chicken run and installed a number of new residents. Those who follow us on Facebook and Instagram will have seen photographic evidence of this hard work!
We have finished this year’s planting in the orchard and have a number of apple trees as well as medlar and pear. These were fenced off by Binty and Little P and though it is not aesthetically pleasing, it is sheep proof. Which is a small miracle.
Our two rams have moved on to pastures new to help start new Ryeland flocks which is great news for the breed. This means that we had the opportunity to buy in and new ram. Following a bit of sheepy ancestry work we brought home Fulfords Xander who is gorgeous in both personality and looks. He is unproven but has fantastic bloodlines an should help bring some length to our ewes.
The rest of our goings in can be saved for later posts, lest our dear readers get overwhelmed…or simply bored!
