Firfield, Vegetables

Late tomatoes

Firfield has a bit more in the way of garden infrastructure that Number 28…one of the most useful buildings is the greenhouse.  Its been in situ for quite a while (since before we moved in, and we’ve been there 15+ years), and is in just the right place.  One side is a granite wall which retains heat so well that we’ve grown melons in previous years.  As well as late tomatoes it is also useful for drying out the onion crop prior to plaiting ready for overwinter storage.
