Picking our sheep

Today, we went on a little bit of an adventure to Tiverton to select our Ryelands!  We were really excited (and still are!) as this is our first foray into sheep keeping, and Alan (the owner) was more than happy to introduce us to his flock and show us around his fantastic holding.

Despite the fact that it was really cold, with snow still present in the shade, we took our time to decide which of his flock we wanted, as he was happy to part with any of them.  In the end we decided on a ewe who we are pretty sure is in lamb named Olive, and two of this year’s lambs who are currently unnamed.

After all the fun, all we need to do now is get the field ready for when we pick them up!
